Separate your pieces. Most computer recycling centers ask that you separate metals and plastics. Don't just focus on the gold in your computer. Be sure to recycle the rest of the plastics and electronics.
Before you want to sell gold or other materials from computer it is important to separate each material onto groups. Gold is just one precious metal from PC which you can sell, but keep in mind that there are other materials present.
Plastic can be collected into one group of recycling process. Next thing you can do is to collect all gold plated elements from computer.
Palladium, silver, copper and some other metals are also worth money, and you should collect each one of them into groups for selling.
When you collect these into groups it is easier to weigh them and determine the price.
